A graduate of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and a veteran of overseas relief missions, with Benevis Dr. Hwang pursues her lifelong passion: to serve the underserved. She initially had no interest in management, preferring to stay hands-on with patients (talk about mission-minded!). Her Benevis mentor encouraged her to consider leadership as a way to have an even greater impact, and fortunately for everyone she took up the challenge. Today Dr. Whang serves as Regional Director of Clinical for the East Region, where she works to inspire and develop young dentists who want to make a difference.
